Mike,
I think the 5 ft measurement was essentially the same...which the 5-10 ft range would probably be more typical of a use type situation. These fans can be bought in any color imagineable, including red, yellow etc. Mine was taken with the all the doors closed, and the machine running about 2 feet from the back wall.

The final drive is the same, 250amps of power.
I have just under 70 at 5'. I'm not bothered by the fan. So long as it welds I am happy.

Ok,
Since you guys 'like' updates...here's one...as I understand it from Oleg
We should be good to go in 10 days or less. There are a couple of minor things that you guys should be aware of that we became aware of after things shipped out from the factory. I don't think this will be a real issue for anyone. Not sure if you guys could see the pictures Mike posted of his unit he received in advance, but the unit was labeled as a 250EXT. Before we decided to rename the unit, I drew up a label and sent it to them. Then I redrew a new one when we made a name change and sent it to them. They got it right for the first test units, but in this first production batch they pulled the wrong file and put the wrong label on the face, with the 250EXT. The label is replaceable with a little effort, and the correct one can be sent out to you if desired.
Also we're thinking that they probably got the torches wrong based off Mike's unit he got shipped in advance. They'll likely come with the standard torch and accessories, but we'll have the upgraded accessory package sent out to you as soon we have them available. If this proves to be true through the entire production run, we will try to get them asap.
Or the alternative is to wait a good bit longer for the next production run of units.
No one's happy about the little snafu but there's not a lot to do at this point.
