NEW 2013 Everlast PowerTIG 200DX AC/DC TIG DUAL VOLTAGE welder

We've been holding onto this pleasant surprise for a while and now are proud to introduce it.

This PowerTIG 200DX has been updated late this year with the addition of preflow , panel control over max amps while using the foot pedal and offers increased pulse frequency up to 150 Hz. But most significant is the fact that the PowerTIG 200 DX is now available as DUAL-VOLTAGE! This will allow the unit to be used in almost any environment and increases portability . The output on 120V of course is reduced, but still gives adequate output to weld lighter gauge materials. And now, it has arc force control for serious stick welding with E 7018/6011.

One thing about it, is that the new pulse frequency, and addition of preflow really targets the customer comments we have received. They have asked for it, and they have gotten it. This is one of the best packaged 200 amp welders you'll find for this price anywhere.

Yep. Trip, the "new" features of the 200DX were only available in limited qtys as sort of a special pre edition release. The dual voltage is new, and is in limited supply until the first of the year. First come, first served. Expect a slight price increase for the dual voltage

Neat feature, and worth a bit of a price bump.

Speaking of features, just to toss this out there and not something worthy of it's own thread... Am I the only one who finds the power switch on the back of the machine a PITA? I'm sure it makes sense internally, routing and all, but man it'd be nice if it was on the front panel too.

Virtually all compact equipment that uses a circuit breaker for a power switch, have them on the back. It's a space issue, that unit is large and there would be no room for it up front. So to put a front mounted switch, you would have to add a contactor to do the heavy switching, and even if you had room (which there probably isn't) it would add at least $100-$200 to the price. I see these rear mounted breakers on all kinds of machines, it just makes sense. If you want to have a front switch, add it to your welding cart. I would rather they keep the prices lower. After all you still have to reach back and open your argon bottle. Even the Miller Dynasty 200 has the switch on the back.

Since that's based on power and heat, I would guess that with the reduced output, it would be 100% on 120V. It would hope it has the same output as the 185 of around 95A on 120V.

No, it's not 100% on dual voltage due to the higher amp draw. It is about the same as the 185 on 120V, but duty cycle I am not 100% sure at this point, but it won't be 100%.
