Virtually all compact equipment that uses a circuit breaker for a power switch, have them on the back. It's a space issue, that unit is large and there would be no room for it up front. So to put a front mounted switch, you would have to add a contactor to do the heavy switching, and even if you had room (which there probably isn't) it would add at least $100-$200 to the price. I see these rear mounted breakers on all kinds of machines, it just makes sense. If you want to have a front switch, add it to your welding cart. I would rather they keep the prices lower. After all you still have to reach back and open your argon bottle. Even the Miller Dynasty 200 has the switch on the back.
