Does this reconnect when the load falls below 350#? Or do you have to do something to reset it?

Yes it does, I think i will just make one, i have not seen the round style ones for several years. They could have been some type of older military breaker. The ones i have made years ago i used a spring type starter switch from an older car and a spring to make it adjustable on weight, more of a hinge type breaker .

So it is really just a load switch, not a circuit breaker type device.

That last link is the closet thing to what i have made, I will be working on building one and post pics as soon as i get my daughters new kitchen out of my shop, they have been coming out on there days off building cabinets. We are down to spraying the last 2 coats of finish and have to build the Corian Countertops next.
