Thread: Melted 250 ex torch

    I've used my water cooled torch up to around 120-130amps. Not continuous but for small welds and I'm too lazy to lean over and turn on the cooler...

    But at least your power cable was filled with water. Without that, they only last seconds. The power cable in a typical water cooled setup is only about 10 gauge wire, it really depends on the fluid to stay in one piece. Compare that with the size of your ground cable...

    I am thinking about wiring my cooler to the welder side of the switch/breaker so the cooler automatically comes on when welder is on, assuming the cooler switch is on.

    that's what i did i rewired my 250ex so when welders turned on the cooler comes on also
    EVERLAST 250 EX , EVERLAST I-MIG 205 , EVERLAST spool gun NOW have 2 EVERLAST POWER PLASMA 50 plasma cutter's , LINCOLN 175HD MIG WELDER , VICTOR TORCH SET and many more tools to many to list
