I would love to hear more about the adjustable wheelbase and how it works.

It's hydraulic operated. The frame is gloved and slides within itself. The whole back half of this machine moves in and out 18" on the fly or just sitting still. Alec took and extended the driveline stub and slip yokes by welding them together. He has just finished another that i have not seen and has headed to Arizona to rock crawl for the winter. He had an all electric on a couple of years ago but the motors didn't have the power he needed so he converted it to hydraulic with 4 cyl GM power to run the pump. It looked like a spider with 4 legs each leg had 3 joints and could move independent. He could raise the rear leg like a dog and squirt water on a camp fire pretty easy. One of his old crawlers made from a Suburban still sits at his place in Nebraska i first saw it years ago and asked why he used a Chevrolet Avalanche for a crawler. His comment that's not an Avalanche it's a Suburban ,the back of the roof kept getting hung up so i cut it off maybe somebody from GM saw it and got the idea.

That thing is pretty sweet. I never even thought about making a vehicle adjustable like that but I can see the huge benefit it would provide.

Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

I am thinking about flying to Phoenix and meeting up with him in the desert in Feb if everything goes ok around here. I want to see his new one he built this last summer. He claims it is the last and best of all he has done.

That's impressive. If you go get some video. I would love to see some video's of the wheelbase changing on the fly. It's amazing how much off-roading has changed over the past 15 years.
