IMHO you did the right thing, Brian. I see TIG as being a really good complement to stick and / or MIG, not really as a replacement. I think you would have really missed having a MIG machine. Cheers.
On the other hand I haven't fired up the ole buzz box stick welder in maybe a decade. I don't do a lot of welding but the MIG takes care of about all of it so far. At least until I got to Aluminum. I think it is a 185 amp and it has done everything I have thrown at it.

Now a Shade tree TIG welder.
