Good to know! I thought about 30" x 4' wide but guess I'll bump it to 5' wide.

    Anymore thoughts?

    Here's my 2 options:

This is a small "catch all" that I could get a 3x5 foot table in. My only concern is it would be tight around the table and I'm not sure how much room I need but I'm sure it helps to be clear on 3 sides. The table in the picture is 43" x 87"

The second idea is to move all my welding gear to the "catch all" above and put the plasma table in this area. The door on the right is a closet that has all my small cut offs in it right now. I could get rid of the closet which would give me a lot of room in this area. I could fit a 3x6 table over here. Possibly 3x8 if I wanted bigger but I dont think I need an 8' table. 3' is about as deep as I can go either place I put it.

One option is to have a pull out support handle like Jody did for his downdraft table. Then you can support larger material, yet collapse it for storage. And of course have it on casters for mobility.

Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

I like that Jody's table is fully enclosed and has the drawer to empty it. That would help me keep the dust and dirt down in the shop a little better.
