Very nice. 48 in 6 with breaks .... made good progress! The 250ex looks like a really good machine. Excellent features and apparently it puts down a really good bead in the right hands.
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

For me, and others in the company, it is our flagship machine (TIG wise). We now have the EX features on the DX as well. Also have a new 210EXT on the way, a digital display version of the EX. I think it will be a nice unit as well. Not parking my 250EX anytime soon though, as you know it is a nice welder.

Weld looks good. Hope you made good money. What kind of work do you do.

I weld for a living at a sheetmetal shop, but i am trying to get something going at home and this machine is definately helping me out, bought me a 205 mig too,was wondering i had my machine set at 200 amps should i have been concerned about my duty cycle and overheating the machine, thats why took a few breaks to let the machine get a break and cool down a little.

Read the disclaimer in red at the top of the page...lol. The pedal is the same. There's been a problem with loading the correct pictures on that page. I've tried it under the admin panel several times and it always reverts back to the Chinese style.

According to the spec's you can run 200 amps all day long with the 250 EX,,,taking a break is good for the torch, water cooler and the operator....I see you have an Imig 205 ,,I sure like mine,,,being using the spoolgun on steel recently,,,great machine,,,I should be playing with my 250EX more than I do,,,it's definitely the biggest bang for the buck in a tig machine that can run off of single phase power,,,and the price is right..

The 250EX consumes 47 times its weight in excess reality. It's slicker than owl guano in skilled hands. It's also robust enough to take the abuse and misuse of newbies.

It's not just a tool, it's an instrument. Since it can run on either single phase or three phase I often wonder why the EXT came out.

I'm sure that the EXT will be much better when all the kinks get worked out of it, but the 250EX is one sweet machine. Just add a good WP20 torch, a cooler, some ability, and you're in tall cotton.
