Doug that is awesome! We need more information on the build and components. Definitely more pictures, video and information. Have you taken it off-road?

Cool....Small world. At work I sit next to the guy (Al) who came up with those and the plans.

He sells the plans on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Personal-Tra...item2ebddca89c

He had it on the History Channel show "SOLD!" as well.

Very cool Doug. Next project CNC Mill, but if my son sees that, Mill might go on hold.

Interesting project,,but I wouldn't drive the stand up model without a helmet,,driven too many tracked offroad vehicles in my lifetime to know that sudden turns or bumps can lead to problems,,,Have thought about making something similar for moving a small portable auger around,,to simplify to the drive system I would use a hydralic pump and orbital motors,,,the advantage there is you can reverse one motor and forward the other at the same time for super tight turning,,,basically the same as the drive system on my minihoe..tracked vehicles are always exciting to drive,,,but they can be deadly cause of the lack of suspension...neat toy,,,would be good to have it remote controlled for doing yard work..

That's pretty wild. I think I could potentially sell this on the missus by attaching a push mower to the back. She won't need to remind nearly as much to mow the lawn! Could use it to carry the trash out too. Oh, yeah. I think I can sell this on her ....
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

I see commercial applications for it. I'd be putting a front mount mower deck at least, or a small snow plow or box blade, or a garden cultivator behind it.
Your bottom wheels need to float on a dolly to accomodate bumps and rocks...and it would be a monster. A little bottom armor and front armor, and it could be a modern military chariot, for the infantry. Moves fast and light. But I am still thinking it needs to accommodate bumps and rocks better by a floating undercarriage.

When I first saw the pictures it reminded me of those remote control fighting robots that were on TV when I was younger. Definitely a cool build.

After seeing the girl in sandles on that thing, I'm thinking there needs to be foot guards so her pretty toes don't get smashed in the wheels!!

Is it just me or does the center of gravity seem really far back on the unit. Looks like the rider just has to lean back a bit and the front lifts right up.
