Excellent! Like I said, not trying to be a pain in the arse, I just have a lot of things in the air and need to plan accordingly. One job may get bumped back, one moved forward, etc. (one of them is free, so he can wait till I'm ready LOL)

Oh the anticipation ... got a half tank of argon ... a supply of 2% lanthanated 3/32, a fresh dedicated grinding wheel and the itch to start welding aluminum ... I'm ready ... OooRah!!! Can't wait to start using my new 200DX

Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing
LOL I didn't buy a half tank ...it's what I have left over from using my little DC TIG inverter ... about the only thing I haven't picked up yet is a new pack of 308 rod ... that's next.
Ya now what we need? a Mr. Green smiley face like Jody has on his forum ... it's a natural.

So, Winky, do you have an approximate ETA for your new machine? You must be crawling up the walls!![]()
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?
Everlast PowerTIG 185 Micro IGBT AC/DC Welder
I think we should be getting them by next week(I really hope so) and I have officially been crawling a month now lol.
northern tools welding table check
new welding cart check
98% argon tank check
full box of 4043 filler rod check
220v socket installed in the garage check
digital auto darkening helmet check
Jody's tig finger check

I was given the expected delivery date of the 11th ... but that has come and gone ... I'm waiting for the announcement from UPS that they have received the shipment once that happens they will give an updated projection. My entire life has been spent waiting for things so I just figure it's par for the course ... I would like to start playing ... uh ... I mean "working" with it ... but I will just have to wait like everyone else ... so we all get to drool together.

I'll help you out there, I have a few friends who think I'm nuts for not going blue, so I'll be documenting the hell out of my arrival and setup...
Granted, the last TIG I did was in 98 using the top of the line equipment the Navy had, so it should be interesting to see both how things compare from memory as well as how quickly I can de-rust my skills![]()

Not a problem ... I've been wanting to get an AC unit for a couple years now ... red and blue totally out reach financially ... been looking at and thinking about Everlast for almost a year ... didn't want to put anything on my CC until I had saved enough to pay off the bill (I hate to pay interest) got the CC bill today ... the purchase already on it ... I hope it's not to long now. I take it the main shipment is by sea and docks on the west coast ... I can't see a large industrial shipment going air freight and it makes the most sense for a pacific rim corporation to ship to SF since the store is in the south bay.

Well I just checked the tracking again and its still saying Order Processed: Ready for UPS .I have gone from anxious>patient>concerned and now annoyed.I have a ton of work on the back burner and still no welder much less tracking what is going on? and way its taking so long?
I'm assuming they need to go through the shipping container inspect everything ... mark each pre-order with addresses and get them to UPS then make sure all the info matches up ... I don't know how many people are available to work on this or even for sure this is what the issue is ... being just a customer myself I'm in the dark too if you are overly concerned I'm sure a staff member can fill you in if you PM them ... if you learn anything please post what you find out ... there are a few of us waiting with you. I'm hoping they will be on their way by the first of next week and we will all be Tigging by the next weekend.
