with engines i don't like acids since also removes metal , just like crankshafts put it in acid and its junk . i just want to remove rust not metal and workes good to clean aluminum . put aluminum in acid and see what happens . also good for cleaning metal before powder coating. I have a hot caustic tank at my machine shop just for heck of it put a aluminum intake in it 1 hour later intake was no were in tank ate it up lol
