Necessity is the mother of invention... Looks really nice. I was surprised when I started reading about welding how important it was to get into a comfortable position. Now that I am looking into TIG it is even more so. Not sure how many of you do it, but it is mentioned to TIG weld when you are sitting down at a bench. I was worried about getting a lap full of sparks. It sounds like TIG does not make near the spatter as a MIG does.

No it doesn't and if you go to Jodie's site www.weldingtipsandtricks.com he's been pitching something called a "tig finger" which slides onto your finger so you can rest it on your work piece and insulate yourself from the heat

Yes, all the tig welding I've done so far has been sitting.
