Thread: Question

    Default Question

It’s 13:22 P.S.T. I was lying awake trying to think about how I can raise the rest of the money I need to get my new Powertig 200 DX or at least qualify for the 25% discount and a thought accrued to me … maybe pictures count as posts. Not being much of a talker it would be tough for me to make 100 posts in time to qualify for the discount … but I have made many pictures of my metal art and other projects and if photos count I just may make it … this is my 4th post … unless photos count then it would be my 8th post … so my question is … do photos count?

I think I just discoverd the answer to my own question ... noticed in the upper right hand corner there is a post counter and mine shows I've made more posts than I thought ... OUTSTANDING!

You can post up a picture as a post.

There is a picture of something I did way back. PICTURE HERE

(way back as in not a new project for the contest).

I would not use the gallery (or area you did as it will probably not count in the contest. But you can make a post, here is a link the my gallery and bike pictures and art. POST LINK HERE

That counts as a post too.

Thanks for the info. Even if I don't make enough posts to qualify for the discount I have pretty much decided to give Everlast a try. Jody on weldingtipsandtricks.com has been giving the company some pretty good plugs.

Give Oleg a call when you have the cash saved up. He will work you a deal for sure. I know about 3-4 contest ago a number of guy got like 25% or more discount coupons just for entering the contest. Maybe someone will slide you theirs

Also tell Oleg you are a member on the forum, and contribute, that will get you points for sure. He has a big heart (sometimes)

Also, keep in mind, we had three welding jobs on a Sunday. Things seem to be picking up in the economy (probably because they want to keep their political jobs). So you will have the unit paid off in no time if you offer welding services to locals and friends (friends last though).

Thanks mike ... I'm about half way to where I need to be able to buy the unit ... I think I'm going to try and sell my old Miller Thunderbolt 220 SMAW to help raise money ... it's a a good old dinosaur. I don't use stick very often anymore and the PowerTig 200 DX will cover that issue if I do. I also have an arc stabilizer, cart and a bunch of heavy duty cable to go with it so it sould pull in a few dollars. Will have to sell locally because it will cost a fortune to ship (real heavy).

Yea, I only local sale. Might want to hang on to some cables. Price of copper, replacing them may shock you. The DX will allow all the thunderbolt will do and much more. Good move. You can still stick with it.
