Very nice as all your projects are. Do not think I have seen a bad one yet.

Never in my lifetime would I think I'd be saying "looks the beatiful those roses are!"

Might go youtube the rose making. If not hard, maybe make on for the wife as all shes seews are trucks, bikes, trailers, etc.

Or might be easier to pay Donor to make it (smarter idea hahaha).

Damn! If I could do work like that, the wife might not be so upset at me spending all my money on welding machines!I hope you won the favor of your lady friend. The only thing I might suggest is a spot for a nice candle or two in the middle. Women seem to love candles about as much as they love roses, and a simple pedestal in the center would be easy for someone of your skills. You'd be getting the mad lovin' all day long!

Rod ... I wish I could take credit for the black one with gold ... it was done by JP2CODE I did all the others ... (go to the gallery to see them) they are pretty easy. I take 22 gage sheet metal cut two circles then slit them into the center about 3/4 of the way in ... lay the circles on top of each other drill a hole ... peen a piece of 1/8" round stock insert then weld the top and bottom ... bend the petals up and shape them ... cut out the leaves ... weld it all together ... bend to shape then paint ... clear coat and if I add gold high lights I add that on top of the clear coat so it will reflect the light. I just got a plasma unit so now I'm going to start cutting out the parts with it to give them that rough look ... Maybe I will make a video of that sometime.

I've been making roses for a few years and I've seen a lot of other people make roses but I have to say that Donor76's roses are absolutely the coolest I've seen so far.

With painting, only 3 hours?!?!? You must be joking. That is absolutely fantastic! My hat is off to you. I have to look this up on youtube to see how it is done .... I was thinking days to make those.
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

I think I may have goofed up when I posted the roses I made to this thread ... don't get my feeble attempt at making roses confused with the first one posted ... his bronze colored roses are much better than mine and his deserve to win ... I'm sorry I didn't mean to take any attention away from your beautiful project. I feel like such an idiot sometimes when I use a computer because I am so ignorant when it comes to protocal.
