My understanding was the pedal over rides these funcations as one can do this manually with the pedal? They have a jumper (pin 6-7)located in the pedal connector plug so the welder knows a pedal is attached.
I just assumed these functions did not work in either 2T or 4T modes when the pedal is attached, but I guess I should have tried first.
I want to use a different torch that doesn't have a switch and want to use the switch inside the pedal instead. My style of welding makes a torch mounted switch less than desirable so I don't want to buy one for my new torch and would not want to be continually changing the connectors from a remote switch and the foot control for certain jobs.
