I have bought 15 new Miller welders for my two company's over the years and now I have two Everlast welders, That gives me the right to judge, review or complain about both company's if I chose to. The trash talk on Millers' forum by people that do not own a Everlast welder, never owned one, don't know anybody that owns one and probably never actually seen one other than pictures of them is starting to irritate me.

People that don't like something because it blue, black or green, or because its made in China or made by Chinese people have no creditability, A product should stand on its own merits, I call things like I see them. Just because I may say something positive today does not mean I will not say something negative tomorrow. I would bet that I am on Olegs list of hardest customers to please.

Everlast could have been a little slow returning Gunners shipping costs if I am understanding Gunners posts right. He had a legit complaint when he could not run his business and wait for the repair of his 250EXT. However I do believe any issues with the 250EXT will be resolved soon.

I feel most of what is being said on Millers forum is untrue, unjust and plain and simple just a bunch of lies. If Everlast welders were not working out for me, I would have ditched them long ago.

I hope this coming from a truly neutral party will clear up any doubts about Everlast after reading what is posted on Millers forum.

I guess we should be flattered in some way that we are mentioned in any way on the Milller forum, good or bad. So we have their attention I guess. And you never know who is really doing the posting either. We have our competition try to attack our forum all the time.

Like you say, some people say they do not like things made in China.

They really need to walk through their home, office, shop and open their eyes a little wider before they speak.

I too used to have a Miller and Lincoln. Not any more.

You have the advantage of direct side-by-side comparison, so I'm guessing from your post the Everlast welders are holding their own. How do your employees feel about the welders? And if it's not over-sharing, do you mind describing the nature of your businesses (production, maintenance, etc)?

Yea, I had a large frame and front end shop for 24 years with all Millers, always had at least one tig (Syncrowave), one 220 mig and two 110 migs there, and a large paint and body shop for 17 years with all Millers, always had one 220 mig and four 110 migs there. The employees always liked the Millers. I also spent just over a year welding aluminum on a friends 350 Dynasty helping him, that is the welder I compare everything to.

When I sold out, I kept a like new Syncrowave and started manufacturing ATV expansion chambers for the Yamaha Banshee in my shop at home. All I had was 70 amps in the shop and the Syncrowave was pulling more than that. That's why I started buying Everlast products and not because I was unhappy with the Syncro. It was that or get a new Dynasty. Being a new company, it made sense not spending eight grand at this time.

Srp,,You talk about spending 8 grand on a Syncrowave as an issue,,,let me tell you what less than 8 grand bought me,, a PA 200, 2 Imig 205's, a 250 EX tig, WA 300 cooler, a PP 50 & a PP 80 plasma cutter, 200 amp spool gun,,,all Evelast.....and I'm not a pro welder, just a hobbyist who knows good value for the money when I see it...I gave away my old Miller thunder bolt,,was a good welder for over 35 years....time to move on with new technology.....

Those that wrap themselves in the flag and resist change are a sad lot,,,some people don't know and some people don't know they don't know,,,,

We live in a global world ,,people have to get used to that idea,,,,,value for your money is what it's all about,,,I'll buy a miller or a Lincoln as soon as they start selling them at the right price...problem is,,, they want more and they have no real advantage over Everlast products..

As far as customer service and follow through on warrenty etc...Everlast wins hands down....

So I understand your view on things,,,why spend more for less,,,

Bottom line Everlast is taking a big bite out of the market and all the bad talk at the Miller site by people who don't know or haver never owned or tried an Everlast product is proof that they are hurting....

Miller had OCC (Orange County Choppers) build them a $$$ bike. So they are making good money. Maybe that chopper was donated to charity for a Miller tax break. Who knows. But someone paid for that bike.

Everlast will let you hold that extra money rather build Oleg a bike.

Building the bike is no problem....If he wants to go fast!

Whatever it takes, Turbo, nitrous, Big motor, Japanese bike, American V-Twin, doesn't matter. As long as he wants to go fast. :-)

I talked with the airgas rep about their occ bike. The on air built bike was over six figures, the off air was less.

I like the idea of buying American products, but not enough so as to buy an inferior product at a higher price. The CEO's of our corporations seem to be more concerned with their personal financial gains and less with advancements in quality and the price of their product.

I had doubts about purchasing a PowerPro 256 from Everlast, but I am happy that I did. I can't speak about long term reliability because I have only had the machine a short time, but I read on the web about quality issues of the U.S. made products on the web as well. It seems some of the replacement parts are either non existent, or way too expensive.

For me it comes down to $$/performance. Less capital in my machines( be it a welder, cnc machine, etc..) whatever saves the customer $$
resesrch and buying what fits my needs is why i not only beat everyone elses prices, but beat them by a 50% margin usually.

It is nice to be able to get a welder that has all the bells and whistles, one that will really stand up in a high production shop, and get such a good deal to be able to get an extra piece of equipment, like a plasma or mig welder and still have saved thousands.

I was taught to weld with Miller equipment and used Lincolns in the shops I worked in. When I decided I wanted to upgrade my Glenn-Roberts Buzzbox I started looking at what I knew. I am sorry, but Miller and Lincoln priced me right out of the market. I can not justify a 2-3 grand expenditure for a welder that I will only use 3-4 times a year. So with my research I stumbled upon Everlast after buying a TA Fabricator 181i and I have since added a Everlast 200dx to my stable. I am quite happy with the Value that I received from Everlast.

Those guys at OCC are now with ESAB and have even built a bike with them. I saw Paul Sr at Fabtech Atlanta mugging for the camera in front of th ESAB folks...Something must have transpired financially behind the scene. But if you want to take it for what it is worth...OCC went bankrupt didn't it? They went the Cadillac express with the nicest shop money can buy and it all came crashing down, including the blue welders.

I'm guessing Miller decided not to renew because the ratings were down, and the show was on the chopping block. This whole family soap opera just brought them more money! I'm surprised the Lincoln did not sign with OCC, but they do sponsor Paul Jr. They had a Snap On deal, then a Craftsman tool deal, then NAPA tools, and now I think they use all Gladiator tool boxes. If Oleg would pony up a cool million Everlast could get on the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!
