Possibly stupid suggestion... why not switch to a knob with replaceable end caps and either include a bag, or sell a bag of caps for like $5 so folks could adjust how they wanted...
Personally, it doesn't make a bit of difference to me
present multi-coloured with main amp red
all same colour as shown with green knobs and main amp red
