Both are true for my 250p. First time the nozzle touched touched my work in a corner it burned the edge off the nozzle. Also spatter sticks to the inside of the oem torch nozzle like mad.
I replaced the torch with a 20' profax that works brilliantly and I've gotten use to the wire touching thing so it doesn't cause any problems and the machine has burn back adjustment.
Overall I'm very happy with the welder and highly recommend it.
