CGC, are you planning to use flux core wire? If yes, you might try feeding flux core with the regular drive wheels. When I purchased my IMIG 200 I was getting a little jammed up about not being able to find flux core drive wheels, and Mike R suggested using the regular wheels. I set up the machine with flux core a couple weeks ago, the regular wheels worked just fine, and I was happy with the welds that resulted. I *will* admit to being amazed at the amount of smoke and BBs.

8 y.o. son said he'd like to try welding, so I figured we try FCAW first, maybe this weekend.

Oh, and the slag cleanup, just like stick welding. Just ignore the BBs, they come off when you wire brush the slag! I've got a rusty spot in my driveway from all the sparks and fallout.
