If you go with quick couplers get the ones with a larger inside diameter,(like 3/8"). A lot of the automotive styles are only about a 1/4" inside diameter. This can restrict the airflow to the torch and cause it to burn up. The local home depot here carries both styles.

Only reason I use the valves instead is over time the orings inside of the quick connects leak
