In honesty, I was originally looking for a simple portable stick unit, and mission creep got me into the TIG stuff. Just a function of my personality. For example, I was looking for a nice MIG 240v hobby welder and wound up buying a Lincoln PowerMIG300. I may very well wind up getting another more advanced unit sooner or later. As you say, the I-TIG 200 is the same size as the 160 and also dual voltage. Several of my co workers have expressed interest in this one should I decide to part with it, so that may happen sooner than later. S/F....Ken M

All boxed up in the included case, I'd say it goes 40lbs or so, not including the argon tank. Add a 40cf argon tank in your other hand and it's portable enough. There's a pretty decent carry strap on the unit itself, so you could bunji the cables & gas line and just carry the unit. S/F....Ken M

Nope, the 160 is much smaller. I'll snap a picture next time I'm back at the shop. S/F....Ken M

All pics of these units make them look small.

The pic above showing those units all lined up was the first time I was able to get a scale of their size.

So, scaled pics of your 160 would be nice to see.

I could see my self bring this and a small composite tank of argon to a job site and going to town. Whats the duty cycle on it? I haven't seen it listed yet.
