Today has tried to forge a souvenir knife from a railway crutch.
On mine it has turned out.
The idea belongs not to me(Has borrowed on what that of the American blacksmithing sites)

I would love to learn your skills! Very nice work
PowerTig 250EX
Power I-MIG 200
Power Plasma 50
It's what you learn, After you know it all, that counts!
My friends! As well as promised today has made one more knife.
Manufacturing process in pictures
We take a crutch and it is heated up in a gas forge
By means of a Blacksmith power hammer we do notches on the handle of a knife from all four parties

Further we clamp (warm) product in a vice and by means of a special plug we twist the future handle of a knife
After that we heat up a product and we flatten the handle
After that I began to experiment and have made the same actions (only at twisting I have changed a direction of torsion)
The result will be visible on a ready knife
Further we flatten out an blade till the necessary thickness
We mark a contour of an blade, superfluous it is cut off
