I was thinking the same thing about switching it to 220/240. Problem is my compressor is 240 needs power also. Looks like I will be adding a sub panel.I have wanted to wire the garage this gives me a great excuse

Sure, glad to help. While you're at it running cable for 240v, you may put in a second 240v line for a "just in case". We have three 240v plugs in our 40x40 shop, we are always barking who needs the receptacle more haha. And yep I hear ya on air compressors, our's is a big 60 gal oil lube twin cylinder 11CFM @ 95PSI continuous, its 240v.
