Thread: Simple but great 250EXT modification/project - With a bonus!!!

Default Simple but great 250EXT modification/project - With a bonus!!!

The steel wheels on the EXT's will last forever, but they roll like steel wheels. I took the wheels off an old set of kids rollerblades and they fit perfect, even the bolts were the correct length and diameter. Now it rolls as smooth as the finest Menard's shopping cart.

Bonus - I have another set of these wheels, if someone want's them.

    Wow,

I think we should have some pinewood derby races.

I’ve got some ZEBEC low friction bearings for my blades around here somewhere.

    I like it!

Funny! Like the old saying goes " The first day there was a pinewood welder race was the day the second pinewood welder was built "

That is nifty, but you can do better. Hook up an electric motor and make it remote controlled!

Never would have thought to swap out the wheels like that. Any issues with the unit wanting to roll when you don't want it to?
