Thread: CGCINC Project #1 Welding table ... Lots of PICS!

Default CGCINC Project #1 Welding table ... Lots of PICS!

This is my small welding table.
It's made out of 2.5" x 2.5" for the lower frame and for the upper frame and angled legs, I used 2" x 2". The top is 33" x 48", 1/2" plate. The 5" locking wheels I bought from NorthernTool for $8.99 each. They support up to 220lbs. each and they work great, the lock on the wheels is much better than the $29ea. wheels I saw at the local Tractor Supply. The adjustable/removeable standing station slides into the front 2.5" tubing and there is a locking bolt on the side to keep it in place.
It turned out nice and I really like everything about it. The only thing not done yet is a removeable splash sheild for the back. I will be making it removeable so it's not in my way when I roll the table out in the middle of my shop.

Nice looking table, great everybody shares their projects. We can pick-up some details that we can add to our tables.
I like your angled standing station.

    have fun

Wow this is a clean setup. I really like the way you made the table top "float" above. How did u cut the angles in the square tubing that holds the table top?

I laid out what I wanted on paper.... 2" rise between tubing and 3"s from the edge. Then I cut out the design, transfered it to the 2" tubing and cut it out with a band saw. They didn't turn out perfect like stamped pieces but it worked out ok.

Thanks for putting these photos up. I was wondering about the tig pedal on the left does that work for you? I like the simple yet elegant Tig Torch holder and the adjustable Tilting table. that could come in handy for sure..

    Default foot pedal

I would guess the foot pedal on the left is just for storage next to the side where the welder is. When I built my foot pedal I put 2 handles on it one for hanging when stored andthe other a moving handle grip.

Thanks for the compliments.....I'm left handed/footed so the pedal to the left is what I like and it's comfortable to put my foot up there even if I'm using the torch switch
