Thread: Home brewed tig foot pedal

  1. #1

Default Home brewed tig foot pedal

Here is my version of a foot pedal designed by Tom (acourtjester) on here, he made and cut the gears for it and supplied me with the pot and micro switch.
You should check out his you tube site, search "courtjester90", Tom is quite the craftsman.
Here are some pictures. It is completed save for the wiring and connector which is being donated from another member of this forum , Thanks Hess.
When completed I will let you know how it operates with my Everlast 250ex.

Nice work. Have you considered a linear motion pot maybe lying flat in the bottom of the pedal with a rod and spring for actuation ?

Looks like a nice pedal. Do knot understand why some pedals have had so many problems? Prity uncomplecated compared to making an inverter welder. Let us know how it holds up.

    Default completed and tested

Well the pedal is finally complete and tested, It works great very smooth and easy to control. not a lot of pressure is needed and the low profile it so much more comfortable. Here are a few final pictures.
