IGBT Technology???

I have a dumb question... I have a lotos cut50 I bought off Ebay. I can't complain because it cost me $300.00, but there will come a time soon I hope when I get a better plasma cutter. It does not have the pilot arc is that a difference between Mosfett and IGBT?

No it does not mean that Mosfett can not have pilot arc start. In Fact our Supercut 50 is primarily a mosfet Inverter although the Control for Pilot start is IGBT.
