Being a little over 6'3" my 4x6 band saw has always been too short for me and my HF roller stands, plus the sheet metal legs that came with it are flimsy. Every time I cut long stock I'd have to put cribbing under the band saw to make it tall enough for my roller stands. I finally had enough and set about making a taller stand. I used 1 1/4" 14ga square tube for the top horizontals and legs. 25" and 28" respectively.
I used 1" 14ga square tube for the six braces, 8" for the diagonals and 9 3/8" at the bottom horizontals.
Had a little trouble with my fluxcore wire feeding so the welds aren't perfect but they're still plenty strong.
The wheel mounts had about an inch cut off them and welded level 1.5" up from the floor. Original wheels and axle were a perfect fit without alteration and the original handle was welded on the other end without alteration.
I gave it a quick once over with the DA sander, wiped it down with acetone and hit it with a couple coats of rustolium primer. I'm happy with the way it turned out and the saw is much easier to use now.
