  1. Unhappy project contest

I only now learned of the contest. I would have entered if I'd known it was going on. I've had some nice projects this year. ( nothing on the scale of renovating a 1/2 track ) but stimulating to build. Might I suggest starting a mailng list of the interested. IE: Customers, Posters, prospective customers previous entrants. I've been to the site and welding mag several times but must have missed it.

    PMill607,

We posted it on Welding Web and here. We never got back the OK on Pirate 4x4. They are probably busy over there.

The contest was a tad short I agree but look at it this way, there will be other contests.

Longer would mean more entries and more competition. Also lots of neat projects to get ideas for.

We have all the votes in tonight. We will post the winners and why they were chosen. We had 3 judges in the contest and it was more work than we thought.

We want to mention why we picked the projects in the post. There were a lot of projects that were liked.

As said, we have all the votes in. Sorry about the delays, we had some logistical issues.

First, we had the contest on a couple web sites so we had to jump around to the projects. We also stated "projects in the last year" and "when the contest ended". So that added a little confusion as a few posted late and another mentioned a "couple years ago" on their project. To be fair we had to stand by our contest rules.

    Here are the results.

1st prize goes to MFGGUNNER: Everlast PowerMIG 200.

His keeping our history alive with these projects is very important to each of us. We liked a number of his projects. The restoration of older projects involve a lot more work than most would think. The metals are thick, there is age/rust and restoring them to their authentic state on top of that.

2nd prize goes to WAYNESWORLD : Everlast Super Cut 50 Plasma cutter.

The Cobra kit is a great muscle car project. There was a lot of fabrication involved. His text was as important as his photos.

3rd prize goes to Bryce Masuk : Everlast Powervision Welding Helmet.

A major upcoming talent as far as an artist and fabricator. The variety was very good. Winning project for him was the seahorse headboard and who can't like a guy that made his Mom a headboard for her birthday.

Please email your shipping information to support@everlastwelders.com so we can send them over to sales. Thanks for your personal time in the contest. Once you receive your prize, feel free to post about them.

Congratulations to the winners. There was defiantly some tough competition. I hope you get some good use out of your machines.
