Can you hear any gas at the torch, maybe the solenoid is not closing all the way?

But with the bottle off you shouldn't loose any gas.

Just read through the thread (since it was an old on brought back up)
How big of an Argon tank do you have is it a little one from harbor Freight like a little 25 or something. Those will empty in no time.I know there is a leak but like Mike said shut off the gas at the tank when not using and also empty the regulator to keep pressure off of it..
Also on aluminum settings , try NOT hooking up the foot pedal and set like this to start.
    1 NO PULSE
2 1 second pre and post Flow just to check
3 upslope and down slope to the minumum (all the way to the left)
4 A/C balance at about 9:00 and A/C freq at the 12:00 position.
5 Set on 2T mode ( that will take the foot pedal out of the equasion)
6 Set amps low to start so if you have a scrap of aluminum say .0625 then just set at 50 amps to start. It will take time to puddle at 50 amps in A/C
7 Set Argon flow at where the bottom of the ball is at the 5LPM mark.
Those settings will get you in the ball park on the welder .
Also A/C welding makes a lot more sizzle sound than D/C on steel. It will have a nice sizzle sound whe AC Frequency is set right.
And if you cant find a leak with soapy water then like Mike suggested it might be the solenoid. BUT if there is a leak in the solenoid the ball will want to float even a little
if you are losing that much gas from a big tank.
Take a cup of water (with the welder UNPLUGGED and just put the tip with or without a tungsten but make sure the rear cap is on) in the cup just up to the ceramic nozzel . If it the solenoid is leaking there will be a bubble or a stream right away.
    Hope this helps.

If you'd call us, (877-755-9353), we'll be more than willing to help you. You can also email your phone number to support@everlastwelders.com and we can call you back.

This thread is months old and I know we make callbacks every day and most weekends.

If we do not get to everyone in a day (sometimes Mark, Ray and Duncan handle sales calls and thing can get busy), you go to the top of the list for the next day. If you end up leaving a message, please leave your phone number twice so we get all the digits. I personally can get 1-2 calls a day where a person leave a first name and no number, or a number all chopped up from a cell phone.

A phone call is all we ask. I saw Mark requested that as well. We will be more than happy to help you.

We clearly post on the forum, this tech forum is for support not to complain/vent. We've had customer do this only to find (by phone) it's operator error and ask us to remove it. Sometimes it's is a bad unit or regulator.

We do not delegate posts, however, we will remove an unconfirmed post, unprofessional post or unrelated post. Unrelated ones normally move to another thread.

Anyway we will make it right, but we have to diagnose it first.

I see others have even attempted to help back in August, then the post goes silent (all assume all is handled), now November we seems to need to start it again.

Have you called in to swap the regulator? We can send a solenoid to you as well. Also, as stated, small bottle go very fast.

I have called. I requested a regulator and consumables on form but was deleted. 80lb is not a small bottle to me. They are expensive .

    Fab,
You aren't answering or dealing with the questions.

You haven't called one of us. Nor will getting "consumables" fix your problem. You CANNOT request them here. YOU MUST CALL DIRECTLY TO GET THE PARTS YOU NEED. POSTING HERE WILL NOT GET YOU YOUR PARTS. WE DON'T HAVE YOUR INFORMATION. WE DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE. WE DO NOT KEEP YOUR RECORDS ON FILE IN OUR DEPARTMENT. AGAIN, PLEASE CALL.

We need to deal directly with you to resolve this issue. That can't be stressed enough. Why haven't you called us? Mike and I are the ones that you would talk to. I don't have any messages....

I did call at least 2 times. What questions? It sounds like frequency is off no mater what settings. Plasma leaks inside. I cant weld with it my guy cant weld with it. Not wasting any more time money on it. You said you guaranteed satisfaction….

You haven't followed the course of action we gave you. You haven't directly called us in person, live on the phone as is the standard course of action, in any recent memory and have not followed what is suggested even here. Nor have you followed up with any updates or exact information. Typically, we have found that many customers get bad bottles of gas. At this point, I am not sure what information to give you since we haven't gotten feedback from you directly. You may have had your problem a while, but we haven't heard from you directly. If you need your unit or part of it serviced, then you should have made direct contact. We have the forum to catch problems that we wouldn't otherwise, but once here, direct contact is always the ultimate and quickest solution. You say it took a year to get a decent reply, and no phone call? Your post is full of innacuracies and you haven't made any follow ups with anyone, at least as of late. You didn't answer questions posed here and didn't reply in any form...until you made a post tonight. We have no idea, except what information you give us, and you haven't given any that will help resolve any problems...How can you post negative comments without even giving us a chance?
