    O ok i gotcha now, Yeah but for small enough just a bunch of small tacks would be good.

    But the it doesn't look pretty... :'( lol Can you imagine two sheets of thin steel held together by a bunch of tack welds?

    What if it needs to not leak water? If a farmer's cattle tank cracks on the thin bottom...They need a water tight weld that will hold.

    I turn the power up for tack welds... I want them to be quick and flat.

    Yeah that's the way to do tacks, but not good welds on really thin stuff
