New Plasma Cutting Book Coming Out

I'm always on the lookout for books that will help me learn. I hadn't been able to find anything dedicated to plasma cutters until now.

I just saw that Amazon has a book "Plasma Cutting Handbook" that starts selling on Nov 1.

I pre-ordered one. I'll provide feedback on it when I get it.

Looks interesting. I have a ton of those sitting on a shelf, Penguin/HPBooks, or a few other company names they've used. They're excellent for foundational information, but you'll find they don't go too far past the basics.

I hate reading but tend to do it a lot on a computer monitor. I had thought about getting a book when I decided to learn how to TIG weld but decided not to. Do you have any recommendations for good TIG welding books? Or anyone else?

I found the Miller student package helpful, nothing on plasma cutting though. It is $25 and I thought it was worth the cost.

I write software, so I'm in front of a computer all day - so I like have books so I can relax in the recliner and read.

I got a couple books to learn from (I'm doing MIG). The book I like the most is "How to Weld" by Motorbooks Works. ISBN 978-0-7603-3174-3. The reason I liked it was the combination of clear writing and lots of picture of welds and what the issues with them are. That's much more helpful to me than showing a perfect weld and saying it should look like that

For relaxation while learning, I suggest a large led/lcd TV as a computer monitor and a recliner as a computer chair... Trust me, it works great.
