Thread: PowerTig 250EX input amps

    Default PowerTig 250EX input amps

What power circuit Amps are required when using 230 Volt single phase for a PowerTig 250EX?

What power circuit Amps are required when using 230 Volt three phase for a PowerTig 250EX?

    Regards,
    John

    Default

    36 A for single and 16 A for 3 phase 220V @ 60 Hz.

    That is the machine requirement.

However for a circuit breaker, 40 and 20 repectively.( I don't remember if you can get a 20 A 3 phase breaker. Its been a while since I fooled with 3 phase 220.)

    I have a
40 amp 230 volt single phase outlet.
    and a
    25 amp 3 pole circuit breaker for/with 230 volt 3 phase power
So either way I should be fine.
    Thanks,
    John
