Default Project # 4_ yotarover _ exhaust straight pipe

got bored and tired of the stock heavy mufflers. so i cut them off my 95 Lexus sc400 (the one for sale) and replaced them with with just 2 straight pipes same size as the rest of the exhaust. then cut the tips of the mufflers off and welded them on the pipes (still looks stock and sounds great. (i used a miller matic at a friends house)

i'll get pics and video up when it get's daylight it sound's wonderful

pipe is 2.5" no bends i just mated it to the bend from the stock muffler but expended it so it would slip over it. then welded it, the stock tips we're big enough not to need expanding to fit over the new pipe.

I know thread is useless without pics ... they will be posted tomorrow i promise

this was something simple just to add some tone to my v8. i believe the length of the new pipe was 2' i didn't write anything down. took me a total of 45 mins from start to finish. -getting the car up on the lift - to putting up the tools

I bet that put a smile on your face and probably added a little more top end power. I recently did a full custom exhaust on my car. I have a project to post that is an exhaust I just did on my brothers car. Both gained top end and a little mid range. Mine actually gained a lot as its got cams, p&p head and manifolds, larger valves. Looking at the pics, I assume you used a mild or aluminum/mild steel?

i'll get a video it's smooth when you get on the gas the tone gets a lil deeper. it's not ricey sounding or super retarded loud i may take off the 2 resonators . that will make it 2 cats and mid cat and then just pipe all the way out

I know you can post pictures from an external host. I have not tried to use photobucket but I do post some from my own domain. At the top of the box that you type your message in, you will see a picture frame. If you click that and paste the url to the image it will work. An easier way is to copy the link from photobucket that has [img]URL[/url] and paste it into your message. That or type the image bb code around the URL and it will work.

last time i tried that it just showed a link. im not to concerned about it but i'd rather have all my pics on pb that way their ready to go when i need them. plus my phone has the application to upload them from the phone. whole lot easier than having to take out the sd card or plug it into the laptop
