    If I could trap in the city...I could make a ton of $$$. I access to a few farms, and there is public access to some of the rivers south west of here.

    If you were anywhere near Texas you could have all you wanted. I killed about 35 in the last year and a half that were damaging my pecan trees. A friend hit a big female raccoon a week or so back and it really tore up her car.

    last year I got 12$ - 24$ for coons, muskrats paid better for the amount of work at 7.50 - 8$ - The thing is these are for prime hides, if you were to get the coons now the fur is pretty much worthless. Let them grow for now, then come fall set the steel to them.

    I have several friends that coon hunt; coon hunters tend to be a rare bread. It seems to be more about the dogs finding the coon. They love getting into peoples trash cans, and are quite clever.
