It seems that the arc OK is the problem from what I have read on CNC Zone. You can jump the arc OK to keep it on all the time, which seems to be working fine. The other solution is something to read your voltages that can supply the arc OK externally. CandCNC sells this it runs around $85.00. This reads the voltage at the tip and makes adjustments.

I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Eagle Plasma on Wednesday. He sells a THC that works externally, and is a generic THC so it works across the board it runs $250.00 (which is not what you need). This setup reads voltage at the tip and inside the machine.

I got a feeling since burn tables has a proprietary thc your probably going to have to open your plasma cutter and solder something. I would try jumping the arc ok (leaving it on) first to see how it works. From what I have read this means when the torch is through cutting a part it would move to the next part without having to wait on the arc OK to be triggered. johndjmix did this for his plasma table build and it worked form him.

The Arc-OK is not the only problem, a problem yes, but not the only one. The main problem is the reading the plasma cutter puts out, even if I press the manual 'move' button, the ATHC does not hold to a correct height. The Arc-OK does not seem to work, which I don't think this is a problem with the Burntables control box, it is an issue with the plasma.

I still don't know why Everlast has not answered any of this, I guess if they don't know the answer they figure it is just easier to ignore it???? (PM's have been sent)--guess I will go try another PM...

if i want thc i am just buying the RAV-01 Raw Arc Volts Voltage Divider Card its only 42 dollars and tossing the one in my plasma would be easy to change since the everlast card has the pin connection labeled on the board . also checked out the DIGITAL CURRENT PROBE DCP-01 neat so you can see exact voltageClick image for larger version.

The digital current probe can supply you with the Arc OK signal. It reads the voltage at the work piece. It's a simple incompatibility issue that is causing you some problems. You do not need a different voltage divider with the DCP-01. From my understanding THC reads the voltage in two places. If you use something different to read the voltage it should give you the proper signal to make the height adjustments. That is why burntables is wanting you to install their voltage divider card inside your plasma cutter. If you use something that works externally from your plasma cutter to read the voltage and supply the arc ok signal you will not void your warranty.

burntable wanted his arc divider set a 20:1 and the cnc board in the everlast only is 1:16 or 1:50 choices

Burntables didn't want me to do anything other than tap into the torch (+) with a 100K resistor, and the torch (-). I don't want to do any internal modifications if I can avoid it (might be different if it was not a brand new machine).

The Arc-OK should work, but doesn't seem to when I try to use the THC, but since the THC doesn't work at all, I want to get the THC functioning before I worry about the Arc-OK (because it may start working)

Why not ohm out from the torch - 100K pit to the end of the two 100Ks and when you get a short, that is the negative one. Then make a clip in jumper and jumper that one out. No real mods to the machine and gives them + with 100K and minus without. We are 1:16 and 1:50, some mod will have to happen to get 1:20 either way.

for under 50 bucks i would just get the rav-01 card , but i would get matching connecter so you don't have to cut of the plasma cutter original connecters. then you would have more arc voltage settings . been searching the internet all the cnc sites and find a lot of guys have bought this card since there original card would not work , that what i am doing when i do my plasma cnc table . what would help us a lot if everlast would post the inside welders wiring schematics like most usa welders do so you know were all the pin outs are and were the wires lead to instead of having to rip the welder apart to see were connection start and end . just like my plasma the wires come out of card and then go under main circuit board so you can not see were they go and connect sorta stupid to me . trying to get my buddy that builds and dose electronics to come over and use his pin out test , its cool has all sorts of connecters that match plug the has a break out board to back ohm meter to see were they connect , will ask him how a divider card works he mite know hot to convert it to 1:20
