I'm almost 100% positive they use Probotix electronics. Probotix does not sell THC, and I asked them If anyone was using a THC with their kits. I was told they had a customer in Texas that builds and sell 6-7 tables a month who makes their own THC. I asked for some information and they never answered my email.

I sure wish someone from Everlast would give some insight here... Does pin 5 HAVE a 100K resistor, for SURE? I need to get this issue resolved...
Burntables uses probotix stuff, but the make their own THC and install it in the Probotix control box.

The burntables system was supplied with a computer, so that shouldn't be the issue. Or should I say, that better not be the issue...

https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q...wnLTu6Tm2N6Vug about adjusting arc voltage , know it sucks when you dont get no support might try some adjustable resisters on both sides

Did you try wiring up the cnc port without the voltage divider stuff that burn tables is wanting you to do? I would think that if you wired the cnc port up to your THC that it would work? I called burn tables and asked them if they would sell me a THC. They were reluctant (which I understand), it would be over $500.00 and I would have to send them my pre-wired control box so they could wire it up (understandable). They could not warranty it either (understandable) because I'm not using their system. The guy told me a little about their THC. From what I gathered burn tables THC is proprietary (their design), and they spent a lot of time designing it. They have some functions that allow you to make adjustments while your table is cutting. It also runs in DOS, and that's where you can make some adjustments. From what I gathered its PLC based or PLC controls. It's not a simple platform from what I gathered, but it has some functions that other THC do not have (again just my interpretation from a phone conversation). If it were my plasma cutter I would ship it to burn tables and have them fix it. At the same time If I were Everlast I would send burn tables a plasma cutter to Burn Tables and let them experiment. The DIY and open source forums are lowering the cost of plasma tables considerably, and Hypertherm has no competition. I looked on Miller's website and they only have one plasma cutter with a CNC port. Lincoln has a Tomahawk with a CNC port and machine torch and that's about it; I would think since they bought out Torchmate they would implement or be implementing CNC Ports on all their plasma cutters. I understand that several of these cnc plasma companies are trying to use proprietary THC and software to stand out makes it difficult for a smaller company.

I will try to answer what I can. Not knowing what controller you have I can’t tell you exactly how to hook it up.
Pins 1 and 2 are the torch switch, this activates the plasma cutter.
Pins 9 and 10 “OK to Move” are a N.O. contacts, sometimes referred to as “Dry contacts” this is a non electronic switch that closes when the pilot arc transfers to cutting arc. Sometimes referred to as “Arc OK”. Sometimes the controller uses this sometimes not.
Pins 5 and 7 are the undivided arc voltage, used by some controllersto adjust the height of the torch. This is the actual cutting voltage it is run through 2 -100K resistors to prevent arcing at the connector plug. Some controllers can use this as is, Depending on the impedance of the input. CandCNC controller and Torchmate cannot use this as is,most others can.
Pins 4 and 6 are the divided arc voltage this is adjustable by a jumper on the board to either 1/16 or 1/50 the arc voltage, and also used by some controllers for torch height control. CandCNC can use this in 1/16 mode. The 1/50 voltage is hard to detect due to the low voltage and interference from the Hfstart. IE: 200 volts arc voltage would be 4 volts, if the torch voltage dropped 5 volts to 195 the divided voltage would be 3.9. so usually the 1/16 setting is preferred, the default setting is /50.
Pin 3 is what some controller manufactures refer to as “Ground” this is connected directly to the work piece lead, which is actually a positive voltage. If the controller has a pin for ground this is probably the pin to use.
Tips, don’t connect anything directly to the output terminals or leads. Don’t connect anything from the controller to the chassis of the cutter, especially a ground lead. Don’t install any kind of converter or divider inside the machine. This usualy causes a fire.
Hope this helps, and feel free to call me if you have any questions. If I’m on the phone please leave a message and I’ll call you back. I don’t ordinarily return calls from caller ID with no message, as I don’t want to interrupt someone at work.
Good Luck.

The THC we use was developed by us here at BurnTables. For the THC to work properly we need a 20:1 divided arc circuit or a 100K resistor in series with the positive (work lead) of the raw arch voltage.
Where would a customer be able to hook up to raw arc voltage?
Could pin number 5 be used since it already (+) and has a 100K resistor, and should be raw arc voltage, then the (-) be run somewhere else that is arc (-) without a resistor?

Without looking at the diagram. Too small to read from the picture and not near one. I was thinking, 5-7 if +/- and add 100K to the + pin. Since Ray said they are undivided and even mentioned THC.
But I need to see the diagram later for these old eyes.

This is from CandCNC.com - I read where he suggested using this to get the voltage for the ARC OK instead of going through the plasma cutter.
DIGITAL CURRENT PROBE DCP-01
Now you can see the actual DC Amps AT THE CUT using our exclusive DCP Add-on module for the DTHC. It is accurate within better than 2% across a range of 20 to 125A (higher range version available on request). Displayed in real time on the same screen as the TORCH VOLTS, it gives you precise information about your plasma cut. No longer do you have to guess at what the true cut current is. Use the Cut Profile to preset fault points so you can prevent bad cuts due to improper dial settings or poor workclamp connections. The DCP also acts as an adjustable ARC OK sensor and it works with any plasma cutter. Each Cut Profile can have it's own ACR OK trip value in AMPS. NOTE You need to order this option if your Plasma cuttier DOES NOT HAVE AN ARC OK (aka Transfer, Arc Xfr, OK to Move) signal.Plugs directly into the new THCSensor-PWM Module
