6010 is a rod that you want to whip, it's a fast freezing all position rod. A lot of people use it to make a root pass welding pipe, and then fill and cap with 7018. When I was at Lincoln's welding school it was taught to be lincoln's dirty, rusty, greasy, and painted steel welding rod. This rod gave the whole stack of dimes saying that you hear a lot tig welding. You can download a copy of lincolns stick guide that tells you about all the different rods.
