250amp tigging

wow if you set the pulse to fast and the pulse amps to 5% then pulse on time to 50% and the the pulse per second to noon. Then fire it up to 250amp...its like a a real life light saber that will cut right tough 3/8 steel...who needs a plasma cutter...I know its not the best thing to do, but I really wanted to kick the tires. Tried to hit the max duty cycle but my fingers started getting a bit to toasty, but the 250 was ready for more. Now on to try it on AC

just wanted to make sure it could do what it should do. Now that its done I can really ever see myself getting up to 250 agian. Its instant puddle and cant seem to feed rod in fast enough...

I guess it's a little like getting a new Mustang and flooring it "just to see what she'll do", it's good to hear that it's up to the task. My eminent plans call for a 250EX, because some of the castings I work on require the ability to get that "instant puddle" on heavy aluminum castings, sometimes without the luxury of a pre-heat. Are you running a water-cooler yet?
