Around the time when they invented ac current the one guy I don't remember his name waisted all his money trying to build wireless electric poles. He wanted to make the electricity travel from one place to another like a radio signal. Unfortunately I don't think we will ever get there. However though a hundred years ago they wouldn't be able to conceive half the stuff we have.
