I do not know If this is normal But I had a chance to check out the TIG function on my new welder.
I had to get a replacement regulator as the original one was faulty.

I hooked everything up as per instructions.
Only thing I did not do was install the foot pedal.
I tried to start the TIG torch and as It is a new unit I watched the welder for any sparks smoke etc before I flipped my helmet down.
Well directly next to the TIG torch connection to the welder I noticed some blue sparks inside the welder directly behind the connection.
I used a flashlight to look inside and it appears to be a small circuit board.

Each time I tried to get an arc I could see this blue glow.
I will get in touch with the dealer but being a long weekend here It maybe tough.

Everything else works fine.

Arc is good and the Plasma cuts fine.
