If you read the rest of his site and writings about the Tip Tig, he claims it is not hot wire as others use, but it is a vibrating wire that agitates the puddle, plus it is an automated feed for perfect fill deposits every time; once you get it set right for the project. They are more popular in Europe. He is the exclusive North America distributor, so he gets to set the price.
