    Default 826G Landfill Compactor

Here is some handrail I had to build for a landfill compactor at work...
    This think takes a beating!

I wish I could have got the gussets offset from eachother more, but I was worried about it being a trip hazard.

The welds look good, however you have to be careful about adding such things to a machine like that, the extra weight and the wind resistance will blow the "L" out of your fuel mileage. LOL

It looks awesome. All its missing is some aged yellow paint and a bit of rust.

it is rusted now...LOL I didn't have time to get it painted and it rained this weekend.... someone is gonna have to take a wire wheel to it and paint it....

the good news is, I can still stick weld...LOL I should have shined em up with a grinder and taken some "glamour" shots....

How did you get the 90 degree bends in the top? I think that they add a professional touch to it instead of making 45 degree cuts and welding.

well, we don't have a bender @ work, so I cheated. I used a couple weld 90 elbows from a plumbing store... they fit up nice, and are already beveled, if you weld them right you can't even tell...
