Ok I understand what you are saying, but the weight still has me confused the listed weight of 45lbs. I guess I will just wait until UPS gets something listed.
    Thanks Scooter

I just received another shipping notification from UPS for the second unit, I should have waited to ask my question. Oh well at least I know it is coming now.
    Thanks

The weight on mine is different than what is listed on the website also. Something may have changed since it was posted on the site or the weight on the label may be off. I wouldnt worry too much about it if its somewhat close.

Downloaded it weeks ago, before I even bought the unit. Read it few times, will re-read before I mess with anything. I once had a new computer in the box for three weeks while I read the manuals. I am in no hurry other than to ascertain everything works.
I am out trying to 'find myself'. If I should wander back while I am gone, please tell me to sit quietly and wait for myself to return.

Mine arrived today burned a few rods of 6013, I'll have to wait on the tig portion as I can't afford to buy a bottle till the beginning of May. Would rather tig even Mild steel as I don't end up with spatter holes and burns on the top of my legs and I just get overheated too easy with a leather apron on over my legs whilst sitting in my wheelchair. All I can say is it's a very nice machine so far.

Arrived with the expected box dmg from UPS, couple of torn corners and to dings on the right side of the case, cosmetic so no worries.

Big thanks to the Everlast team

I hafta say- I'm having a great time watching this thread.

Please understand I mean this in the best possible way: I'm sure each one of you guys is somebody I'd like to have as a neighbor. Doing your job, keeping your commitments, being a man, a husband, a father, a friend, an engaged citizen of your community or state or country, or all of those things and more.

And yet- in 13 pages and 130 or so posts, it's like kids who can't wait for Christmas! Ordering equipment, un-ordering equipment, will it go to the right address, will I be home to get it, getting buyer's remorse, getting over buyer's remorse, cursing UPS, cursing Everlast, praising Everlast. UPS deserves some cursing- it's disturbing to hear about damaged boxes. I hope the machines arrived intact.

Congrats on the new machines, you guys- some of us are watching from the sidelines enjoying your new machines with you. Please post pics of your welds, the setting up process, anything. And thanks to the folks at Everlast- it's been a busy few weeks, that's for sure.

Looks like the bottom of the bx was a bit more damaged than first thought (wife didn't lift it up to check) The interior box was open, and the consumables packet was spread all over the box, but I think all is accounted for (not really sure what all is supposed to be int there).

Welder and all components look fine, all knobs are smooth, etc. Hope to try it out later, if the argon shows up from my neighbor.

Nameplate is only showing 30.8 peak amps at 240V (which I do have 240V under load). May not need to upgrade the 30 amp circuit afterall...

  11. Default OMG My PP 205 is here and It is Beautiful

Been waiting at the front door for 4 weeks for the brown man to drop my big box at the door step. The box was in good shape and everything looked perfect.

I got it hooked up tonight and tried all 4 processes and this thing ROCKS! Amazingly smooth arcs, HF, and a nasty evil plasma stream. AC works smooth on aluminum and DC is awesome on the few pieces I tried. I even burned a stick for the first time in 15 years and I don't remember it being this easy with Dad's old Miller Thunderbolt.

The selling point that pushed me over was the updated controls. It has all the functions of a PP256 now with a little less power.

Looks like I have a lot of practicing to do as I'm just a hobbyist with a mig until yesterday.
    Today I'm Superman!

Thanks Alex and Katya for the help and support.
and thanks Mark and Mike for all the questions you have answered for me on this forum without me even asking.

    Keep Up The Great Work!

Three wires out, maybe 6 feet, black, green, white. It also came with a 20amp three prong male plug I will not be using.
Also came with an air pressure regulator/filter.

I'm trying to complete a to-do list so I can play with the welder. Last thing is to mount an awning on the 4x4, and I'm dicking around....

AND; someone used my plasma cutter! I'm betting they cut the Queen Mary in half or something using MY unit!

I'm kidding...everyone remember; they test these units, you're going to see a burn or smudge or something.
My owners manual was stamped, saying it was tested on March 12th.

My favorite part of the manual is the title of #IV.
