I too would like to know how soon as I will be doing a lot of precise fabricating.

I placed my order for a pp256 last month and spoke with Alex on the phone to make the order. He sold me a WP-17 I think it was and it is a flex head. I know he mentioned a WP-20 also.

The Wp 20 is a 200 amp watercooled torch. They are quite compact.
The wp 17 is an aircooled 150 amp torch, medium sized for an aircooled but still pretty bulky for fine work.
The WP 9 is much smaller than the 17 and is rated at 125 amps (some wp 9s are rated lower) so that is what I use for thin wall materials. My WP9 torch is small enough that I can easily grip it the way you would grip a pencil when drafting. This makes for very good torch control.
On .065 wall SS I'm typically welding at 38 to 42 amps. I find that I can get by with the wp9 for anything up to about 3/16" thick steel, after that the 200 amp wP 26 goes back on.
Aluminum is another story, probably best to go watercooled if you have much of it to do!

No changes have been made to any of our line of TIG welders in regards to changing torches at this time. I am back at the Factory on the 23rd April and will likely discuss changing some torches for the end of the year on some models we carry.
As far as different model torches i have listed the types i have in stock . The U.S may have different models available but i am nt sure on this , it would be better to contact them to see what exactly they carry.
The Flex head torches i carry are as follows
WP17 Flex Air Cooled 60% @ 150amps DC
60% @ 120amps AC
WP9 Flex Air Cooled 60%@125amps DC
60% @ 80amps AC
WP20 Flex Water Cooled 60% @ 250amps DC
60% @ 175amps DC
I have a limited number of WP18 and a couple of WP20 flex with 25' hose, but for the most part the above Torches listed is what we have in stock on a regular basis as a stockable item
Gas lenses and Cups are available for both the smaller WP-WP20 models and our WP 17 - 26 models along with all other consumables for all our torchs.
Our tungsten is mostly 2% lanthanated and 2% Thoriated with Ceiated in most sizes but i know we are low on the Ceriated right now .
We will be adding Aluminum Filler rod and possibly Stainless Steel this Summer
The cost of Aluminum and SS is getting high so it is probably worth it for our customers to get a better price by having us offer it to them.
Cheers
So you do have a wp9 aircooled that will plug right in, that's great. The US side did not have such a thing available last spring, so I fiddled my own set up together using a Southweld wp 9 and various fittings, some of which came from Everlast. As I mentioned, Alec said then that the search was on for a small air cooled torch, so obviously one was found.
I think most users would find as I did , the small flexhead torch improves your Torch control immensely and makes it hard to go back to the large fix head Torch.
