How about using some Navel Jelly on it and give it some time, I have used it on several rusted oil pans prior to repairing them and it attacked the rust very well and did not hurt...
I was wondering if anyone out there is doing any aviation welding and did he get FAA certification of any kind? I am in school right now working on TIG certification and I am a licensed FAA...
I think it took lot of courage to tackle this job and your confidence produced a very nice product for someone with little experience. I bet it saved the owner some good money and hope it gets...

How fast does the Chem Sharp works and does it leave a residue on the Tungsten that has to be cleaned or you can go right on welding?
I am also on the fense of which way to go and feel that this thread has made me realized that getting two units one for tig and then a plasma would be the way to go. TIG is my main puprose here and...

Out of curisity are the air cooled torches as relaible as the water cooled ones and do they have a triger or controlled via the pedal?
