If you have a 75/25 tank, plus a pure argon tank and two regulators you can mix the two through a tee or wye to get the percentage of co2 you want.14052 14053
You are correct that heavy welds need to be horizontal due to the high heat. I do spray 11gauge square tube in any position though. I guess it works well because the welds are short so there's not a...
I use the same configuration for everything now other than aluminum. This machine and gun are tougher than Tarzan's toenails.
I use the same quick couplings that you find on compressed air hoses. I keep the 100%argon tank on my TIG cart and 75/25 on the MIG machine. I just put the two close to each other when I want to swap...
I'm not the best person to answer about TIG settings but for any MIG welder you can set the voltage for material thickness then turn the wire speed up too high, start a bead on a piece of scrap and...
Changes to the gun are not required. I wanted a longer MIG lead so I replaced my original gun with a 20' one. The nozzle of my original gun was also electrified when welding so the edges would burn...
You're going to be so much happier when you try spray arc. It makes a really smooth welds, it's way faster than stick and you'll have good penetration. Spray arc is also quiet and so clean that you...
Welcome to the forum. I look forward to pictures of your projects.
I've found that the faster you make a cut the cleaner the edge, so I turn it up and move as fast as possible without skipping.
OEM exhaust is usually 409 stainless. It turns rusty brown on the surface but lasts a long time unless it gets a lot of salt on it. Many aftermarket exhaust parts are aluminized steel.
Welcome to the forum, I look forward to seeing your projects.
Thanks for the updates and happy father's day.
Did you dill a hole in the bottom of the uprights to let rainwater out ?
What do you lift with this gantry crane? I ask because it's built so heavy.
I replaced my original mig gun with a 20 foot long Profax brand 250 amp Lincoln/Tweco style and then changed the front end parts to use Lincoln/Tweco #23 insulated screw on nozzles and #14 contact...
I know you're teaching people the correct technical way to do things but spray works perfectly well the way I've been doing it. Not the slightest hint of an unstable arc, the welds are clean and the...
75/25 works very well for me but when I want to spray thin stuff I blend in some straight argon with a quick connect tee. I use plain old air line quick connects.
I'm not great at continuing...
What do you cut with? Have you tried spray arc on your 275p? I try to spray everything I can with the 250p. It's got power to spare and sprays very well using regular 75/25 gas....
Very nice work. I'd like to see more pictures if you're willing.
It's not the tungsten stopping a puddle from forming. It would really help if you post a clear picture of the front of your machine so we can see what's going on. It's probably something simple.
Went rummaging through the drops at my local metal supplier and made this 50" air/hydraulic brake that can bend 11ga steel on a tight radius it's full width. I added an 8 ton air/hydraulic ram from...

1/16 aluminum filler works well. I make a new one every time. I have the old PT-80 torch though.
You'll need to call support. I don't think they monitor the forum.
