thanks for the help! so the warning light has two colors right, orange and green? the manual doesnt say which color means what. I would think orange would mean overheat and green would mean something...
also I think the LED with the exclamation point inside the triangle is turning GREEN....does that mean duty cycle exceeded? is there a duty cycle timer or something which might be malfunctioning and...
Still very happy with my PowerPro 256 and I have made alot of money with it. Finishing up some production welding today (TIG, 115A, AC) and the arc suddenly went out. Hf working, still seeing the...
first, start a new thread. the title of this thread has nothing to do with your issue. second, if you think what I did in this thread will fix yours, read the whole thread, and do the fixes I listed...
Yup, thanks to Ray from a couple years ago lol
So is there anything I can do as far as improvements or upgrades? Are the newer design points better for this issue or are they beefier for some...
Yes I have seen that too..and it has been the return. Either I forgot to connect it, or its not making a good connection. But I spent a good hour taking apart the ground clamp and brushing everything...
Okay right after I posted yesterday, I wanted to try and get things working. So I sanded that points with 600 grit just enough to where the crud on them was removed. Then I set them to 0.045" because...

okay it looks like one of the things that can case hard to start arc issues are points
looks like my welder has the "old style"...very small little deals
its tricky to measure the gap because...
okay I spoke to soon..
when I was troubleshooting the welder last week I must have left the AC balance knob at 80%..thats what melted the electrode right now I think
so I turned it down to...
The 4053 chips came in today. I replaced it and powered it up. Now the display appears to show the correct current as I move the knob around!
However, I tried welding and vaporized a 1/16"...
Okay will do. The 4053's should be here Mon or Tue at latest so I'll do everything at once.
Okay I'll give it a shot.
I was able to find my old email from a couple years ago where I had basically the same problem. Replacing the 4053 and adding the diodes and cap fixed it up until today....
thanks for the help!!
the display is stuck at 257 without the arc being turned on (no torch or foot switch depressed) Oh wait, so are you saying that the 400AMPs will show up only when the...
First off, I'd like to make it clear I'm very happy with my welder and I would still recommend it to anyone who wants an outrageous bargain. If and when I have an excuse to buy another Everlast...
I think there is an error for the EV26S15-25
It says "straight neck" on the browsing page with all the torches, but on the detail page says FLEX neck...
It was years ago maybe 2010 that I asked about it.
I've gone through maybe 400cf of Argon since I've owned the welder. I'm assuming that would be considered light duty so maybe thats why the torch...
Where did you come up with that? Everlast, Miller, Lincoln, etc.. dont target hobbyist welders? I'm pretty sure they'd beg to differ. And even if that were true, which it is absolutely not, why would...
its because i had the ground clamp clamped to the table and not the part isnt it ..derp
You know you may have a point here....if I was definitely going to order a CK100 I might just call up Everlast and say "CK100 plus 1 of every consumable please, plus the gas saver kit please, shipped...
one more thing..I noticed this torch had a much harder time starting an arc than I am used to..any ideas why?
Making people want to shop on your site makes you more money, not less. Thats why sites who do it right flourish and can charge more or sell more because of that, and sites who do it wrong don't. Its...
Welding is a major segment of the manufacturing industry, not sure where you are getting the idea its a niche market. Setting up a good online shop is trivial, and in 2014 there is no excuse for "old...
I got my stuff a couple days ago. Unfortunately I got the wrong DINSE connector. A "-24" suffix needs to be added to the end of the part number for it to work with the 24 series torch. I placed...
