Hard to tell from the picture, but in one pic it looks like the standoff is allowing the tip to be way too close to the metal to be cut. Looks lie the standoff is either melted or bent, etc

Still need to fab a better mount, but basic setup works. Someone mentioned seals leaking over time, but the $2.00 to replace the quick disconnect is worth it.

Just reading your post about the 1/2" plate being cupped. Did you get it that hot, was it like that when u put it on? I am going to put a 1/2" plate on my cart, but don't want to cup from normal use
