Yeah I'm up north :(
Yeah that's what it sounds like, but that doesn't make sense. The issue is when it's cold and had been sitting. Turn it on and no feeding or arc. Heat it up and it starts working. A broken fan...
Not sure I understand.
Yes, it was a small portable electric heater, and it does help. That's how I'd get it to work when it was cold out.
It's getting cold around here again. Did anyone ever hear back on what the engineers thought the cause might be?
Thanks.
Clean looking
Yikes... :(
Take a picture and send it to the company. They should be able to ship you a new board as long as it's under warranty.
Nice! Thanks for the update.
These are fun channels to watch, if you could only pick one it should be Jody's as Rambozo mentioned:
I have the MTS211Si and it is great if you want to also play around with DC tig and stick....
I've been asking for a long while now... Not sure one's ever coming. :(

I'd measure continuity from the ground clamp to the dinse connector end, then start working my way back inside the unit. It's either no ground or no voltage...
Not sure, I'm an engineer. Welding is only a hobby for me. :)
Welcome to the forum. I work for Lockheed Martin, but on the other side of the country from you. :)
You can wait for an official reply, but they'll say it doesn't void the warranty.

Hi. Any update on the low temp capacitor issue. Thanks!
I'm also a software engineer with a BSEE. :)
Good luck!
They used to be referred to as 110v way back in the day and now they are typically closer to 120v. Should be no issues. Home outlets in North America are usually either 120v or 240v (not 110v or...
Congrats and enjoy!
You da man! Thanks again.
As you get more details, I'd be grateful of you can fill me in. Thanks!
Anyone?
I just tried it again at 36°F, but no joy. The updated board seems to help it work at 10-15° cooler, but it isn't a complete fix. Is this a design issue? Does Everlast expect this...
I added a drawer when building mine, and it was definitely worth it. I thought maybe I'd store my helmets in there, but I found it more useful for other misc items like consumables, foot pedal, etc....
